The New Face of the Republican Party

Or at least it had better be...

If the GOP has learned anything, it should be that it has lost touch with its own constituency. While the press was having a field day with George Bush and the economy, McCain was struggling to connect with the conservative block that put Bush in office. The major problem for the Republican party IMHO was that they failed to break away from the tired old rhetoric of the past and could not offer any sound solutions for economic prosperity in the future. They were opposed to national health care, but had no sound counter-proposal. I for one was angry that the choice I was given seemed to be the best the country had to offer. In fact, it almost appeared as if they wanted to take the next 4 years off and they practically handed the election to Obama.

The ONE guy that made any sense in the entire process was ostracized by the GOP and kept mum in the press. Not so with thousands of young up-and-coming voters and future business owners. Ron Paul developed a constituency of his own and completely funded his campaign with a group of energetic, see through the BS, don't give me that crap young followers who ate up his "brass tacks", no holds barred approach. As much as they want to dismiss him, the GOP had better stand up and take notice. Now that his insight is being revealed and his predictions are coming to pass, he has become a regular in the news and talk show circuit circuits. I can only hope that it isn't too late!

If the past line up is any indication of the best the GOP is able to dig up, they had better embrace Ron Paul as a serious contender or be prepared for the revolution! These kids do not appear to be playing!
